Our robotics class offers students the opportunity to design, program, and iterate robots tailored for specific mission challenges—from navigating complex obstacle courses to precision task handling.

We partner with other schools on collaborative projects, allowing students to share code, troubleshoot hardware remotely, and experience the real-world dynamics of distributed engineering teams.

The maker space is a versatile environment equipped with the tools students need to bring multidisciplinary assignments to life. Students are able to build and then test and redesign or tweak their prototypes. Some students have used the maker space to help build a historical diorama, build bridges for a physics project, or build an item for the Science Olympiad.

Our program doesn’t just teach theory—it builds capability. With instruction that blends mechanical engineering, computer science, and design thinking, SJN students leave the lab with the knowledge and confidence to thrive in top STEM programs and careers.
